DDD Support

Support for adults with developmental disabilities.

Quantum Home Cares supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across New Jersey, at home and out in the community. We're an approved provider with the state Division of Developmental Disabilities.

What that looks like varies a lot from one person to the next. Some people want a couple of hours in the morning and to be left to it after that. Others want somebody along at work, or at the gym, or on a bus route they're still learning. We'd sooner work out which you are on the first visit than hand you a standard schedule.

What We Provide

What we can help with.

Most people start with one or two of these and change things around as life does. If you're not sure which ones fit, that's a normal place to be starting from.

  • A support worker kneeling beside a young woman in a wheelchair as she lifts a hand weight at home

    Individual Supports

A caregiver at home with you for the routine parts of the day: dressing, meals, medication reminders, keeping the house running.

  • Shops and parked cars along a New Jersey main street on an autumn afternoon

    Community Based Support

Someone with you when you're out of the house, whether that's an appointment, a shift at work, or the grocery store.

  • A boxing coach wrapping the hands of a young woman with Down syndrome before a session

    Community Inclusion Services

Help finding things going on locally that you'd actually want to keep doing, and support to stay with them.

  • Two pairs of hands held together, one older, one younger

    Respite

Scheduled hours so whoever normally does the caregiving gets a real break.

  • A support worker sitting with a woman at her kitchen table, checking in

    Behavioral Supports

Working out what's driving a behavior and getting everyone around the person responding the same way.

  • A man using a wheelchair boarding an accessible van on a lift while a worker assists

    Occupational Therapy

Practical help with everyday tasks, including adaptive equipment and changes to how a room is set up.

  • A person pushing someone in a wheelchair along a park path at sunset

    Physical Therapy

Strength, balance, walking and transfers, plus keeping mobility equipment fitted properly.

  • Don't see what you need?

Give us a call anyway and tell us what you're after. If it isn't something we do, we can usually point you to somebody who does.

Behavioral Supports, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy are provided by licensed practitioners we bring in. They aren't something your regular caregiver does.

How We Work

What you can expect from us.

The same faces
We schedule so the same caregivers keep coming back, rather than sending whoever happens to be free that morning.
However much help is wanted
Some people need a hand with one part of the day and some need company for most of it. We don't sort anybody into a level.
Adults across New Jersey
We support adults 21 and older, and we staff homes across the whole state rather than one county.

If any of that sounds like what you've been looking for, the next step is a conversation rather than a form.

Getting Started

Asking for us is straightforward.

If you already have a Support Coordinator, telling them you'd like to work with us is all it takes. You don't need to arrange anything with us first. If you'd rather talk to us before any of that, call and we'll walk you through it.

  1. Tell your Support Coordinator you'd like to work with Quantum Home Cares.
  2. They take care of the arrangements on their end. It's a routine request.
  3. We come out, meet everyone, and work out what a good week looks like.
For Support Coordinators

We take cases anywhere in New Jersey and come back to you on referrals the same business day. Marvalyn handles them herself, so you won't be leaving messages with an intake line. We support adults 21 and older who have been found eligible by the Division.

We're approved under both the Supports Program and Community Care, with two exceptions worth catching before you build the plan: Individual Supports is Community Care only, and Community Based Support is Supports Program only.

Want to talk it through?

Tell us about the person you're asking for and what a good week would look like for them. We'll give you a straight answer about whether we're the right people for it.
