Accessibility
Most people who read this site are arranging care for someone they love, often at a hard moment. It should not be hard to use. Quantum Home Cares, LLC is committed to keeping this website usable for everyone, including people who browse with assistive technology.
What we are aiming for
We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, at conformance level AA. That is the standard most widely referenced for public websites. We have not had this site independently audited, so we describe this as the target we work to rather than a certification we hold.
What we have done
- Every page can be navigated by keyboard, and focus is visible as you move through it.
- Headings run in order, so a screen reader can move through a page by structure.
- Images that carry meaning have text descriptions; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- Body text and interface colors are chosen for contrast against their backgrounds.
- Text reflows down to small screens and stays readable when you zoom in.
- Motion and animation are reduced automatically if your device asks for that.
- Forms use real labels, and errors are announced rather than shown by color alone.
Where we know we fall short
Accessibility is ongoing work, not a box to tick. Some content on this site comes from outside services, including our feedback widget and any embedded material, and we do not control how accessible those are. If you hit a barrier anywhere, we would rather hear about it than not.
You never have to use the website
Anything the site can do, a phone call can do. If a form is difficult to use, or a page will not work with your software, call 732-498-2960 and we will take your request, answer your questions, or read you anything on the site. There is no part of arranging care that requires you to fill in a form.
Telling us about a problem
If something on this site is hard to use, contact us at quantumhomecares@yahoo.com or 732-498-2960. It helps if you can tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what browser or assistive technology you were using, but tell us anyway even if you cannot.
We aim to respond within one business day and to fix what we can fix quickly. Where a fix will take longer, we will tell you and offer another way to get what you needed.
